James and Grace are the top baby

JAMES is once again the most popular boys' name in Newry and Mourne in 2013, while Grace made the number one spot for the girls in the district for the first time.
The two names were the most popular first names given to children whose births were registered in Newry and Mourne last year.
James regained the throne it held in 2010 when it was the most popular boys' name, while Grace knocked Sophie off the girls' top spot, which it held since 2011.
However, the most popular boys' name in Newry and Mourne over the last 10 years is Jack, which has held the accolade five times (2012, 2009, 2008, 2005 and 2004), with James (2010), Ryan (2011, 2006) and Conor (2007) coming out tops on the other occasions.
While failing to be the most popular girls' name in the last four years, Katie still remains the top girls' name in the district over the last decade (2009, 2007, 2006, 2005 and 2004), followed by Sophie (2012, 2011), and Aoife (2010, 2008 joint with Niamh).
The most popular boys' name in Northern Ireland in 2013 was Jack, with James second and Charlie third.
Jacob and James increased in popularity in the last 12 months, moving into the top 10, while Luke was the largest mover within the boys' top 20, rising from 27 in 2012 to rank 19 last year.
The greatest drops in 2013 from the 2012 top 100 were Corey, down 66 places to 105, and Reece, down 65 places to rank 155.
With the girls, the most popular name in 2013 was Grace, followed by Emily, while Sophie slipped from first to third in 2013.
Ella was the highest climber within the girls' top 20, while Anna also increased in popularity to rank 10 from 16.
Ava and Ruby are new entries to the girls' top 20, while Shannon and Elizabeth dropped out of the top 100.
