Warrenpoint GC set for All-Ireland

WARRENPOINT have won the Ulster Section of the AIG Jimmy Bruen, and will now go on to represent Ulster at the All-Ireland finals in Carton House in September.
Warrenpoint beat Cairndhu 3-2 on the day, in what proved a very tight affair.
The 'Point sealed the match, when Raymond Duffin hit his tee shot on the second tie hole to two inches, for a birdie 2 and a win.
We wish Michael Carr and his team all the best in the finals.
Joining the Jimmy Bruen team in the All-Ireland finals, will be our Barton Shield team, who retained their Ulster title in Moyola Park Golf Club on Sunday.
Warrenpoint won their semi final by six holes over Belvoir Park.
They met Rosapenna in the Ulster Final, with Paul Reavey and Stephen Coulter beating Frank Casey and Donal Boyle by four holes and Colm Campbell and Ryan Gribben beating Enda McMenamin and Martin McDermott by three holes to cement their place in Carton House, where they will try and retain their All-Ireland title.
Again, we wish Colm Campbell Snr and his team the best of luck in All-Ireland finals.
Fred Daly PlateWarrenpoint's Fred Daly Plate team will play their Ulster quarter final against Letterkenny Golf Club this coming Saturday, with the return leg being Sunday.
Mixed Foursomes Ulster SectionJim Sommerville and his mixed team fell at the final hurdle of the Mixed Foursomes Ulster Section, when they were narrowly defeated 3-2 by Malone Golf Club in the Ulster Final.
