Shane shines for St Bronagh's thumbnailSHANE McGarry, voted St Bronagh’s Best Boxer of the Year, lands a right hand on Brian Stokes of St Seachnall’s.

GAVIN Dougan, and members of Rostrevor's Boxing Club, staged a great tournament in Warrenpoint's Balmoral Hotel on Friday evening.
The big crowd that attended were treated to some exciting contests, with one of the best bouts being a thrilling three-rounder between Camlough's Paddy Faloon and Smithboro's Gary McKenna with the excellent Faloon coming out on the sharp side of an 8-7 scoreline.
St Bronagh's Club handed out two awards on the night - the Best Boxer trophy that went to Shane McGarry while Matthew Murnion won the Best Up-and-Coming award.
ST BRONAGH'S RESULTS:
Colm Rice (St Bronagh's) won 6-3 against Darren McCabe (St John Bosco).
Josh Kallides (St Seachnall's) won 5-3 against David Hughes (Kingscourt).
Shane McSherry (St Bronagh's) won 8-4 against Brian Stokes (St Seachnall's).
Robert Brogan (Smithboro ABC) won 7-3 against Patrick Byrne (St Brigid's).
Matthew Murnion (St Bronagh's) won 9-3 against Patrick Serridge (St Patrick's ABC).
Aaron Podesta (St Brigid's) lost 6-2 to Patrick Warde (St Malachy's, Camlough).
James Cunningham (St Bronagh's) won 7-6 against Barra McAteer (Camlough ABC).
Stephen McKenna (Smithboro) won 6-2 against Patrick Stokes (St Seachnall's).
Dean McCabe (St John Bosco ABC) lost 7-4 to Gerard Stokes (St Seachnall's).
Conor Wallace (Sacred Heart ABC) won 8-4 against Martin Collins (Kingscourt).
Brendan Magee (St Bronagh's) won 11-4 against John Stokes (St Seachnall's).
Sean Flynn (Smithboro) lost 7-4 to Stephen Sweeney (All Blacks).
Paddy Faloon (Camlough) won 8-7 against Gary McKenna (Smithboro).
Michael McGarry (St Bronagh's) lost 4-1 to David Doran (Camlough).
