Grimley unclear on Clarke

Tuesday, 7 January 2014

ARMAGH manager Paul Grimley said he is unsure whether Crossmaglen's star forward Jamie Clarke will line out for his team or UUJ in Sunday's Dr McKenna Cup.
Clarke is expected to return home early from a club trip to Florida to play some part in the January competition, but with reports he has enrolled in taking a Masters degree course at Jordanstown makes him eligible for UUJ.
After Armagh's win over Queen's on Sunday, Grimley indicated that he didn't know Clarke's intentions.
“I am not sure, he did say to me that he wanted to speak to me when he comes back but I didn't get any word with him about Jordanstown so I honestly don't know," said Grimley.
There isn't expected to be any fall-out regardless who the talented Clarke plays for, but should Armagh face UUJ at the later stages of the competition then the Crossmaglen forward won't be allowed to play.
