Barleycorn One 2. Horseshoe Bar 4.
HORSESHOE were made to fight all the way to preserve their unbeaten run with a hard earned 4-2 win at Barleycorn A, who had taken an early lead.
It was tops from Stephen McArdle (6x100, 95, 2x85, 87, 81,78,4x60+) that gave him a 3-1 win over Christy O'Brien (121,2x100,99,85,2x81) in the night's opener.
The visitors hit back in style with a brace of 3-0 wins as a maximum180 from Darren Mullen (140,132,100,93,87,86,85,81) helped him defeat Mickey Morgan (100, 5x80+,5x60+) followed by a 131 check-out from Stephen Connolly (2x140,100,3x95,87,76,67) to seal victory over Trevor Gill(123,83,76,70).
Another maximum 180 brought a 3-1 win for Gary Fay (140,135,121,100,98,82,81) over Alan Hoey (124,116,3x100,95,2x85) to stretch the overall lead to 3-1. A 132 start to the deciding fifth leg gave Leslie Anderson (121,3x100,4x80+,6x60+) the edge over Beezer Loughran (135,125100, 98,95,84,4x81,4x60+) who could only look on as a 76 check-out by Anderson denied him a shot at the double and won the league points for the visitors. The last match was another full set encounter that saw James Maguire (135,125,121,5x100,3x85,5x60+) rescue a bonus point for Barleycorn as he won 3-2 against Johnny Murphy (2x140,125,2x100,96,95,2x85,6x60+).
Cartwheel 4 Bridge Gold 2
A BLISTERING start from Cartwheel paid dividends at home to Bridge Gold as the joint league leaders had the precious points in the sack before the visitors recovered to pick up a bonus point.
Joe Pilkington (136,2x133, 4x95,94, 64,5x57) won the opener with John Reel (132,131, 125,121,95,2x85,81) on a 3 -0 score. Jim Hanratty (140,4x100, 99,95) checked-out 72 for a 3-1 win against Aidan Kilroy (130,3x100,2x85) to double the lead. A 16, 17 and 18 dart leg from Mickey Donnelly (161,3x140, 6x100,2x95) brought home the points in style against Sean Judge (140,3x100, 5x80+).Two dart finishes to 81 and 66 had Jarly Og Burns (140,113,100,97,2x83, 2x81) level with Raymond O'Brien (121,2x1002x81,80) with tops doing the trick for the Gold player to register their first win.
Indeed it was a 3-2 win for Peadar Mallie (125,104,3x100,2x85,2x81) over Raymond Martin (3x133,2x100, 95,83) that snatched an unlikely bonus point, given their start to the match.
Red Fellas 2 Lite N Easy 4
AUSTIN Thompson got visitors Lite N Easy off to a winning start at Red Fellas with a 3 nil win over Joe Burns. Double nine did the business twice for JP Finnegan on his way to a 3-2 win against Mickey McParland who had checked-out 82 to level at 2-2, with the win for Finnegan restoring parity for the hosts.
A maximum 180 and an 80 check-out helped Mickey Rushe to a 3-0 win against Mark McShane as the visitors regained the lead. Christy Thompson added to that lead with a straight legs defeat of Colm Murphy in match four.

Conor Gibney beat Seamus Hearty (3x100,90,4x60) by 2-0 in match three to increase the lead leaving the 2-0 win by Eamon Gibney with a 68 check-out over Sean McGeeney clinching a 4-0 win to secure the points.
Bridge Wanderers 3 Barleycorn Two 3
BARLEYCORN Two paid the price of having no last man as they were 3-2 up away to Bridge Wanderers and had to settle for a share of the spoils.
