Big fight ahead for Fearghus thumbnailFearghus Quinn

BELLEEK boxer Fearghus Quinn has great chance to book his place on the Commonwealth Games plane, should he pull off a surprise this Friday night (November 24).

That's because the Camlough ABC boxer defeated Conor Doherty at the weekend, in front of a packed crowd at the Dockers Club in Belfast.

Quinn kept punching Doherty from the first to the last bell and finished with a comprehenisve 4-0 win.

Quinn, the defending Ulster Elite Champion faces Rio Olympian Steven Donnelly on Friday, in a 1600 seated sold out Ulster Hall in what will be his toughest test to date.

Quinn's Camlough ABC coach Martin McCusker said: "It will be the boxer v the puncher and Quinn's with a high work-rate could cause a upset on the night."

It is a massive night for the mighty Quinn and the fight expected to be streamed live through BBC NI.
