Club All-Stars for Armagh

Tuesday, 28 November 2017

ARMAGH GAA will host the eagerly-anticipated Club All Star Awards night on Saturday (December 2 ) in the Carrickdale Hotel.

For the first-time, Armagh GAA have announced their Club All Star Team for 2017 sponsored by Armagh Sport & Trophies. They will be present at the awards night to receive their first Club All Star award.

Clubs were asked to send in nominations and those were put into a short-list by selected number of sports writers that attended a wide range of games over the hectic club championships season.

It caps off what was a great season for Corrinshego Thomas' Davis, who reached the Armagh Junior final, as Jordan King was one of their exciting footballers while Killeavy's Donal O'Neill gets the nod in full-back although his team-mate Jamie Cosgrove couldn't have been far away either.

Rian O'Neill is the only representative from Crossmaglen for some of his exceptional scores during their short-lived Senior Championship. Raymond Teggart had a great season with his scores helping Killeavy to a county Intermediate Championship win and his absence against Millford had a huge baring on their Ulster quarter-final exit.

Cathal Lambe made the cut for his magnificent performances for with Silverbridge in the full-back line. Maghery bossed the midfield selection while Armagh Harps have four members down the spine of the team, including Armagh's Patrick Morrison in goals, Charlie Vernon at full-back and former county man Declan McKenna at centre-half back, while Ultan Lennon leads the All-Star team for his performances this season.

A range of Club Awards will also be made including Football and Hurling Players of the Year, County Footballer and County Hurler of the Year will also be announced at the glittering awards ceremony.

The presenting of awards doesn't end there as a host of others will win deserving awards for their contribution of gaelic games in Armagh in 2017. The other awards include:
