THE Greater Newry Area Business Awards are back for 2019, bigger and better than ever.

That was the message from the launch event held in the SRC Graduate Restaurant today, (Tuesday, April 16).

Organised by the Newry Chamber of Commerce & Trade, this year’s principal sponsors are Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Shelbourne Motors.

Speaking at the launch event, Chamber President, Paul Convery said: “The Greater Newry Area Business Awards have grown to be the highlight of the Newry business calendar.

"With 26 categories and 27 individual awards, 2019 will be the largest number of awards to date. We are delighted to have Newry Mourne and Down District Council on-board again as a principal sponsor and Shelbourne Motors as the principal commercial sponsor.

“The Greater Newry Area is recognised as a place synonymous with entrepreneurship, innovation excellent service, product quality and customer care. The awards are designed to recognise and reward the very best that this region’s business community has to offer.”

Endorsing the local Council’s support, Cllr. Mark Murnin, Chairman Newry, Mourne and Down District Council said: “Newry, Mourne and Down District Council are delighted to be a principal sponsor for the 2019 Greater Newry Area Business Awards.

This year’s lead commercial sponsor of the awards is Shelbourne Motors.

Commenting on their involvement Caroline Willis, Financial Director said: “Shelbourne Motors are delighted to partner with the Newry Chamber of Commerce & Trade as principal sponsor of the 2019 Greater Newry Area Business Awards.
