AUTISM NI PAPA Newry and Mourne Group has held its annual fun quiz and leg wax in the Duke Rooms, Warrenpoint.
All funds raised are for its annual respite week at the Share Centre, Lisnaskea, in August.
Leg wax victims were Paddy Murphy, Matthew Williams, John McCourt and Luke McCoy and their attackers were two popular ladies Karen McCourt and Kathryn Luker.
They were clearly delighted to inflict pain on their volunteers and worse still sold strips at £5 each to supporters, so they also got their money’s worth.
The support was excellent and the chairperson thanked everyone who had supported the night.
I hear there was a big night in the Balmoral last week to celebrate Molly McCabe’s 90th birthday.
Sadly I did not hear about it until it was all over, but anyway Molly had a great night and a host of friends were there to help her celebrate.
INF lotto numbers, Sunday fortnight ago, were 15, 16, 18 and 23.
No-one had all four. There were five three number winners Darren McAuley, Brian Sloan, Rosealeen Tohill, Michael Heaney and John McGivern.
Last Sunday’s jackpot is £4900. There were several bereavements last week in Burren, Warrenpoint and Rostrevor.
Condolences go to the Marley and Morgan families in Warrenpoint and Rostrevor on the passing of Christina (Teenie) Ardallan Park and to the family of Bernard Bird, Ashgrove Terrace, who died on Friday. RIP.
