THE annual ball for Save the Children this year took place in the new wedding marquee at Narrow Water Castle.
A large attendance enjoyed the panoramic views across the panoramic views across Carlingford Lough, as they waited on the call to dinner, which was in the hands of the capable chef Raymond McArdle, Restaurant 23.
The style of the ball was marvellous and the committee left no stone unturned to ensure a complete success.
The Keenan sisters from Burren, who are all gifted musicians, were at the entrance to welcome guests with their enchanting music on violin and organ. The beautiful weather was an added bonus.

The Whoop-De-Do drama group, which had a very successful year, held an information evening on Tuesday in the John McCoy ABC.

The Balmoral Amateur Poker School recently organised a poker night in aid of Autism NI, raising £1,000.
Charlie Davis presented a cheque for this amount to representatives of PAPA, Fidelma McKeown and Dympna Williams, both of whom thanked the school for the donation.
