HELLO again and welcome. Most of my grandchildren are away for the whole summer and I sure do miss them coming into the house like the whirlwind and heading straight to the fridge looking for Frubes.
They are in Montenegro with their other granny and grandad, Aslan and Pasha. I was only there once when my daughter got married, it's certainly a beautiful country.
The in-laws live in a town called Barr now that’s a trip I’m looking forward to!
I went to Funtasia last week in Drogheda. It's a complete entertainment complex with crazy golf, ten pin bowling and the splash park. It was the splash park I was in and it was fantastic!
There are two massive big slides and a lot of smaller slides, I was on them all, it was brill!
While there I was a 60-year-old among all the kids but I didn't care. I enjoyed every minute and can't wait to get back, and with the new road to Dublin, it’s handy to get to.
Locally it's festival time and true to form the weather is good and bad. Fiddler’s Green has just had another successful week and we start in the 'Point on Sunday (August 1) and no matter where you live don't miss the opening parade, it's going to be the best ever! This year’s programme is exceptional and has something for everyone and ladies you can even buy yourself a man!
Have you heard the one about the bull upsetting the Mayor? Yes, Mick Murphy took on the bucking bull and the bull won, Mick's pride is still intact but he's eating his meals standing up...there's no fool like an old fool, eh Mick!
Til' next week, take care and God bless, Big O
