Police search for tools stolen in Newtownhamilton

POLICE in Newry are appealing for information following a report of the theft of a number of items at the Blaney Road area of Newtownhamilton on Friday, August 10.

Sometime between 9am and 8pm on Friday, August 10, it was reported that a number of tools were stolen from the property. The items taken during the incident included:

· A Dolmar petrol leaf blower

· A Stihl petrol extendable hedge cutter

· A green Metabo battery operated socket gun (serial number 602205840)

· A green Metabo battery angle grinder (serial number 602170840)

· A yellow DeWalt battery drill

· A red Dolmar 18” chainsaw and

· A black RC ½ inch air ratchet

Constable Nugent is asking anyone with any information or who saw anything suspicious to contact police in Newry on 101 quoting reference number 1327 10/8/18. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
