YOUNG people on the Regener8 programme presented food bundles to Saint Vincent De Paul and Newry Credit Union for issuing to individuals and families who are experiencing difficulties at present.
Regener8, is a cross community Personal Youth Development Programme, funded by International Fund for Ireland and managed by Rural Action. Regener8 is in it's 7th year with Clanrye Group and gives back to the local community every year. This year with the cost of living crisis hitting people hard, the young people wanted to make sure 40 homes have food bundles to help them through this challenge.
Ciaran Rafferty, Chair of Saint Vincent De Paul, said "Saint Vincent de Paul is very happy to work with Clanrye Group at this time when many people face the cost of living pressures. Every little really does make a difference to those households."
Clanrye Group are delighted to have been awarded 2 new youth programmes for the Newry and Downpatrick areas and are now recruiting.
