Jewel shines through in Amber

A Jewel of a country artist has shone through in Belleek's born muse Amber Campbell who was named the most promising artist of the year at the Country NI Music Awards.

 Miss Campbell , who at the unassuming age of 11 has already published several hit country tracks, beat out the competition to win the prestigious title garnering close to 4’000 votes from the public.

 Although the blossoming   country and gospel singer may be only be in the budding stages  of her career as a musical entertainer her talent in the field is of such a  degree that she has garnered the attention  of none other than such legends in the field as Daniel O’Donnell and Philomena Begley.

As Amber’s mother Mary explained  it was Philomena herself  who stated that Amber reminded her of herself in her younger days.

“It was a public vote and she got 3'850 votes from the public to say that they wanted her to win the award.” said Mary.

Polling opened a few months ago. There was in total five or six other artists. They called out the nominee's and she was selected as the winner. Amber was delighted. She was nominated in three categories, entertainer of the year, female vocalist of the year and the most promising artist of 2025 which she won.

“Steve Doyle and Jordan Edgar administered the awards and they took place in Castlederg. She is the youngest country singer on the scene and has been told that she holds the title of the youngest country singer.

“.She has a large following on Facebook and publishes plenty of videos, and a lot of loyal fans.

“Five of her songs were produced by Brian Kurgan from LetterKenny and one was Wayne Those from Roscommon. She won the Hot Country Awards in Bundoran in Donegal and the big Tom McBride Inspirational Music Award. She also won a charity award for the Northern Ireland country Awards at the start of this year. She raised money for the cancer for Kids. She raised £417.00 who donated to a GoFundMe page on Facebook.

“Philomena is very friendly and she always says that Amber reminds her of her in her younger days with her outfits telling her to keep going with what she is doing.”
